That’s why I’m putting together a small, supportive group just for authors with books coming out in 2026.

It’s all about community, reassurance, and a little gentle guidance from someone who’s been through the rollercoaster (several times over!).

Who the club is for

The Debut Author Club is specifically for traditionally published authors (ie, not for authors of self- or hybrid-published books) with debut books coming out in 2026.

FAQs

  • The experience of having a book traditionally published is so very different from the indie author route.

    It's not that one path is superior, but the challenges that we address in the group are very different from the challenges indie authors face.

    Also, there are many, many groups and resources out there for independently published authors, whereas there aren’t any for trad authors!

  • My intention is to keep the group relatively small by limiting it to authors who are releasing their first book in 2026.

    If everything goes well, I’ll be launching another group for 2027 authors midway through 2026. However, as this is the first iteration of the group, I am happy to accept authors ‘out of year’, dependent on their publishing date. So please apply!

  • The Debut Authors’ Club is specifically for debut authors! However, if you have self-published a book in the past, then you are very welcome.

    If you are a non-fiction author releasing your first novel (or vice versa), then please apply using the form below and we can discuss your situation in more detail.

  • For authors signing up before the end of 2025, membership is absolutely free and will be throughout your debut year.

    From January 2026, there will be a small monthly charge for any new members.

  • At the end of 2026, the intention is that the community is ‘handed over’ for the members to self-manage. You are free to leave at any time, but the hope is that it will continue to be a great source of support for all its authors in the future. 😊
